Welcome!
Thank you for visiting my site, I hope you are finding it helpful in accessing all you need to know for either Health or Life Fitness 2. My name is Valerie Loheit, and I am a new teacher at Oak Ridge High School this year. This will be my third year of teaching in a high school setting for the subjects of health and fitness-my passions. During my own high school and college years, I was an athlete. In high school I found my love of running as a part of the track and cross-country teams, and transitioned into triathlons for my colleges' club team. Having an active lifestyle, and working in work-site and public health professions, led me to wanting to motivate and educate others to live long healthy lives. What better place to do this than a high school where students are discovering their identities, interests, and making goals for their futures. I want to help my students add health and fitness to their life goals by teaching the skills and knowledge needed to reach them.
In addition to being a teacher, I am also a newlywed, married to a wonderful fireman. Us and our three year old Vizsla "puppy" are hoping to move from Sacramento to El Dorado Hills very soon! Together we enjoy backpacking, camping, and just about anything else that involves being active outdoors.
Lastly, I am very excited and honored to be a Trojan, and I look forward to the school year ahead!
